NH.com Website of the Week Award - A
comprehensive school Web site provides a special challenge to
designers. The school community, after all, is made up of an
audience with related, but very different needs. From students to
teachers to parents to administrators, a good school Web site must
be many things to many people. This week’s Web site of the Week
manages to do just that.

Presidential Awards
Given at St. Francis of Assisi School
Principal
Susan Hogan announced the recipients of the President's Education Awards and
the Presidential Physical Fitness awards at a school assembly in June 2005.
The President's Education Awards Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department
of Education in partnership with the National Association of Elementary
School Principals. It recognizes those students who have achieved high
academic goals. St. Francis acknowledged eleven students in grades 4 through
6 for the President's Award for Educational Excellence. These students had
to meet the specific academic requirements. Each student had to earn an
average of at least 90% for the year, and achieve in the 85th percentile in
both math and reading. These percentile scores were achieved on the Terra
Nova Edition of the California Achievements Test given to all students in
grades 2 through 6.
